12 Movies to Look Forward to in 2012

Rowdy Rathore: Prabhu Deva, the director of Salman Khan’s Wanted, will return with Rowdy Rathore. Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, the movie would be a full-on action film. Thankfully Akshay has returned to what he does best – action!
Agneepath: Not even in his wildest dreams would Hrithik Roshan have imagined playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in a remake of the cult classic Agneepath! But we thank Karan Johar for choosing Hrithik and not Shah Rukh Khan; we’ve had too much of him through Don 2 and RA.One.
Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu: The jodi of Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan has the potential to work wonders on the silver screen. Directed by Shakun Batra, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu tells the story of Rahul Kapoor (Imran Khan), who loses his job and goes on to meet Riana Braganza (Kareena Kapoor). After a whirlwind of a night, the two find themselves married to each other. Just hope the movie doesn’t turn out to be a What Happens in Vegas rip-off!
The Avengers: Biggest Marvel superheroes - Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain Americain, Black Widow, Nick Fury - in one movie! What more do you want?

Student Of The Year: Karan Johar movies are big entertainers and that’s why the release of this movie is hugely awaited. The film is inspired by the High School Musical type of romance where the actors break into impromptu songs. While that’s something to watch out for, keep your eyes open for debutant Alia Bhatt (Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter) as well.

Agent Vinod: Saif Ali Khan's much-awaited home production Agent Vinod is all set to release in March. Why should you watch it? Because not only is it an action-thriller but it’s also a spy movie! And it’s from Sriram Raghavan, the director who gave us Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gaddaar.
Django Unchained: It’s a Quentin Tarantino film, who wouldn’t want to watch it? In this movie he will tackle the evil of slavery in his own quirky way. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L Jackson and Christoph Waltz form an excellent cast.
Dhoom 3: The ‘idiot’ is all set to turn into a villain! While we definitely look forward to the brand new Aamir Khan-Katrina Kaif on-screen pairing, we are also looking forward to watching Aamir Khan himself! It’s been so long....

Men In Black 3: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones’ last adventure was in 2002. If you are a fan of these MIB agents, then this movie could be a nostalgic trip for you.

Ek Tha Tiger: The pair - Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will return with Kabir Khan’s (of New York, Kabul Express fame) Ek Tha Tiger. Apparently it’s a romantic thriller; and of course one cannot forget the fact that this is Salman’s very first collaboration with Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Heroine: Madhur Bhandarkar had recently said, “Bebo is the star, the jalwa of Heroine. She is too good.” Hopefully even the movie will turn out to be as good as Kareena Kapoor.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn 2: The waterworks begin for Twihards as the franchise ends (sniff sniff). Expect more special effects, usual mushy moments and more Team Bella, Edward and Jacob overload.
